International Volunteers - Work Abroad in Kenya

Travel with purpose. Serve with compassion. Create lasting impact.

Horizon Mission Africa (HMA) welcomes volunteers from around the world to join our community-led programs in Kenya. Whether you're taking a gap year, seeking an internship, part of a university, church, or corporate team, or simply looking to give back, HMA offers meaningful opportunities to make a real difference while experiencing the rich culture and natural beauty of Kenya.

Our volunteer placements support sustainable development—not short-term charity. You will work alongside local communities, schools, and leaders to help create lasting change.

Why Volunteer with HMA?

Volunteering with HMA is more than a trip abroad—it's an opportunity to become part of a movement transforming lives through education, nutrition, health, environmental conservation, and community empowerment.

As a registered U.S. 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization working in partnership with local communities in Kenya, we ensure every volunteer experience contributes to long-term, sustainable impact.
